DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

A specific driver accessed memory it should not have. The blue screen often names the file, for example a .sys file.

How to fix it

  1. Note the .sys file named on the blue screen. Search for it to find which device it belongs to (for example, a network or graphics driver).
  2. Update or roll back that driver in Device Manager.
  3. If you cannot see the name, install BlueScreenView or WinDbg and open the latest file in C:\Windows\Minidump.

Is it serious?

Fixed by updating or removing the one driver it names.
