DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
A driver took too long to respond. Storage drivers and old SSD firmware are the classic cause.
How to fix it
- Update the SSD firmware with the drive maker's tool (Samsung Magician, Crucial Storage Executive, etc.).
- In Device Manager, under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, update the storage controller driver, or switch it to "Standard SATA AHCI Controller".
- Update chipset and graphics drivers.
- Unplug external devices to test.
Is it serious?
Firmware and driver updates fix most cases.
