The network path was not found. Windows cannot reach the shared folder or NAS.
How to fix it
- Try the IP address instead of the name: \\192.168.1.20\share.
- On both PCs, turn on Network discovery and File and printer sharing (Settings > Network & internet > Advanced sharing settings).
- Old NAS devices may need SMB1, which Windows has removed. Update the NAS firmware rather than enabling SMB1.
- Windows 11 24H2 blocks guest access to shares by default: use a username and password on the share.
Is it serious?
A settings fix. The 24H2 guest change catches a lot of home NAS users.
